Ocean Freight and Local Shipping Policy – Atatron USA

Atatron imports premium bioclimatic retractable pergola systems from Türkiye to the United States via ocean freight, in full compliance with U.S. import regulations. All international shipments are coordinated through reliable freight forwarding partners and are subject to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) procedures, including the Importer Security Filing (ISF) and necessary commercial documentation. Upon arrival at the designated U.S. port, Atatron or our authorized partners manage local delivery either directly or in collaboration with the client’s selected carrier. We ensure all domestic transport complies with U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) guidelines to guarantee safe and timely delivery to our customers’ doors. Our logistics process is designed to offer seamless and transparent service from Türkiye to final destination across the United States.

At Atatron, we are committed to delivering our premium bioclimatic retractable pergola systems safely and efficiently from our production facility in Türkiye to your location in the United States. Below you’ll find all the important details regarding our shipping process, timelines, responsibilities, and expectations.

1. International Shipping Overview

All Atatron products are manufactured in Türkiye and shipped to the United States via ocean freight under FOB (Free On Board) terms at the Turkish port of shipment. This means Atatron is responsible for the goods and all associated costs up to the point the products are loaded on board the shipping vessel.

  • Shipping Origin: Türkiye

  • Destination: United States (continental U.S. only at this time)

  • Shipping Method: Ocean freight, followed by local trucking for final delivery

  • Shipping Timeframe: Typically 6–10 weeks from production completion to delivery, depending on customs clearance, port activity, and domestic transit times

2. FOB Terms Explained

Under FOB (Free On Board) terms:

  • Atatron assumes all responsibility and costs for the products until they are safely loaded onto the vessel at the Turkish port. This includes manufacturing, packaging, export clearance, and loading onto the ship.

  • Once the goods are on board the vessel, ownership and risk transfer to the buyer (customer). This means the buyer is responsible for ocean freight shipping costs, marine insurance (recommended), import customs clearance, duties, taxes, unloading at the U.S. port, and transportation from the port to the final delivery location.

  • It is the buyer’s responsibility to arrange timely pickup or delivery after customs clearance to avoid additional storage or demurrage fees at the U.S. port.

3. Order Processing Time

After your order is placed and confirmed, production typically takes 3–5 weeks. Once production is complete, the order is inspected, packed, and handed over to our freight forwarding partner for export.

4. Customs and Import Regulations

Atatron ensures all export documentation is prepared and the goods are shipped legally from Türkiye. The buyer handles all import requirements, including customs clearance, payment of duties and taxes, and compliance with local regulations in the U.S.

5. Local Delivery (Final Mile)

After customs clearance at the U.S. port, local delivery can be arranged either by Atatron’s logistics partners or by the customer:

  • Atatron-Arranged Delivery: We offer door-to-door delivery service through trusted carriers.

  • Customer-Arranged Delivery: Customers may choose to handle pickup and final delivery themselves.

Please provide an accurate delivery address with proper access for freight trucks and notify us of any special delivery requirements.

6. Shipping Notifications & Tracking

Customers receive regular updates, including production completion, shipment departure, U.S. port arrival, and final delivery scheduling. Tracking details will be provided once available.

7. Receiving Your Shipment

Inspect shipments upon delivery and report any damage or discrepancies within 7 business days. Document visible damage on the delivery receipt and take photos to support claims.

8. Shipping Limitations

We ship only to the continental U.S. P.O. boxes, APO/FPO addresses, and non-mainland U.S. territories are not serviced.

9. Delays and Force Majeure

Atatron is not liable for delays caused by port congestion, customs inspections, weather, strikes, or other events beyond our control. We will keep customers informed and work with partners to resolve issues.

FOB and Shipping FAQ

Q1: What does FOB mean?
A: FOB stands for “Free On Board.” It means Atatron is responsible for your order up until it’s loaded onto the shipping vessel in Türkiye. From that point, you (the buyer) assume responsibility for ocean freight, insurance, customs clearance, and delivery in the U.S.

Q2: Who pays for shipping costs?
A: Under FOB terms, you are responsible for paying ocean freight, marine insurance (recommended), customs duties, taxes, unloading fees, and local delivery costs in the United States.

Q3: When does ownership and risk transfer to me?
A: Ownership and risk transfer to you once the goods are loaded onto the ship at the Turkish port. After that, you are responsible for any potential damage or loss during transit.

Q4: Can Atatron arrange shipping for me?
A: We can assist with shipping arrangements and local delivery options after arrival in the U.S. However, arranging and paying for ocean freight from Türkiye to the U.S. port is the buyer’s responsibility under FOB terms.

Q5: What should I do when my shipment arrives?
A: Inspect the shipment immediately for any visible damage. Note any issues on the delivery receipt, take photos, and report problems to Atatron within 7 business days to initiate a resolution.

Q6: Can I pick up my shipment myself?
A: Yes, you may arrange to pick up your order directly from the U.S. port or a local warehouse if you prefer. Please coordinate timing carefully to avoid storage or demurrage fees.
